J. Peter Bruzzese, InfoWorld’s Enterprise Windows column blogger, published an article yesterday highlighting Mailscape as compared to Microsoft’s SCOM (System Center Operations Manager) entitled “A better monitor for your mission-critical Exchange environment.” The article examines the trends taking place in the Microsoft infrastructure management tools market space, and how SCOM and Mailscape take different approaches to managing messaging systems.

Today ENow announced new Exchange 2010 monitoring and reporting functionality as part of their Feature Pack 1 release for Mailscape V4.5. The most notable enhancement in this update is a new feature that allows administrators to verify, monitor and report on the hottest new Exchange 2010 feature —Database Availability Groups.

Owens Valley Career Development depends upon its email system to communicate with its students. Their messaging infrastructure was in need of several improvements including , a topology and routing redesign and software upgrade. ENow performed the redesign and upgrade to Exchange 2003.
