Which versions of Exchange does ExchangeMatic support?
ExchangeMatic is currently supported on all versions
of Exchange 2000 and Exchange 2003.
How is ExchangeMatic licensed?
ExchangeMatic currently
comes in two modules. ExchangeMatic Pro is optimized
for Exchange Servers that contain
databases. ExchangeMatic Lite is optimized for front
end exchange servers. Since front end servers only
will utilize the monitoring component, the price
is reduced. Every Exchange sever in your organization
must either run ExchangeMatic Pro or ExchangeMatic
Lite.
Why cant I find maintenance and support costs?
ExchangeMatic’s
pricing already includes one year of maintenance
and support. If a new version
of the software is released during the year after
purchase, the upgrade will be free. We are confident
that our product will perform as advertised and hence
do not charge for technical support.
What is the best way to utilize ExchangeMatic?
You
will receive the greatest benefit of ExchangeMatic
if you deploy it in the following manner. The EMatic
OneLook monitoring system was designed to be displayed
in area that Exchange Administrators can easily view
it. It is recommended that a monitor/flat panel be
dedicated for the monitoring console and be configured
at 1024 X 1028 resolution. Each exchange server should
have the EMatic agent installed on it. Any web server
in your organization can be used to publish the site.
For security purposes only exchange administrators
you define will be able to access this site.
How long does it take for a database to be defragemented?
The
time it takes to perform a defrag on an exchange
database depends upon a variety of factors including
the exchange server’s hardware and the size
of the disk space. Each time ExchangeMatic performs
a defrag operation, the amount of time used is recorded.
By examining this value you may be able to determine
the operation’s approximate time.
Will
ExchangeMatic work across a WAN?
ExchangeMatic
was built from the ground up with performance in
mind. All monitored components can
be individually configured and adjusted based on
your network’s needs and requirements.
Will ExchangeMatic cause network performance issues?
ExchangeMatic
was built from the ground up with performance in
mind. All monitored components can
be individually configured and adjusted based on
your network’s needs and requirements. The
out of the box, default configuration will not cause
any undue network traffic.
Why was ExchangeMatic created?
ExchangeMatic was
created by exchange administrators for exchange administrator’s.
The job of managing messaging is not an easy one.
There are many tasks
that must be performed on a daily basis, including
monitoring, administrative and maintenance tasks.
These tasks are time consuming but yet necessary
to ensure that the messaging system stay up and running.
ExchangeMatic was created to assist the administrator
in covering these tasks in a more timely manner.
ExchangeMatic is the only product on the market that
combines
How is ExchangeMatic different then its competition?
ExchangeMatic
does not have any direct competition. It is the only
product on the market that addresses
the monitoring, maintenance and administrative needs
of the Exchange Administrator. While there are products
that provide some of the features, no single product
combines the whole suite of tools.
Although many monitoring products abound on the
market place, ExchangeMatic provides a patent pending
unique user interface that quickly allows exchange
administrators to pin point issues. The eMatic OneLook
interface is easy and simple to use.
In the maintenance space, there are several companies
that provide the ability to defrag exchange databases,
but these tools do not assist the administrator in
determining when it is the best time to perform the
defragmentation. When you combine the logic programmed
into ExchangeMatic with the many reporting features
it becomes apparent that this tool is invaluable.
